reminds me of years ago, when I was an assistant wrench at a garage. Mechanic was doing a half-shaft replacement on some Nissan car, and the outer CV joint just wouldn’t budge from the hub. Finally he got flustered and said “I’m just going to hit it with a hammer and see what happens.”

although I will say when I hear “hammer” and see coil springs, I get nervous. there aren’t any new dents in your ceiling, are there?
